Description
Made around 2021, The Acrobat is an original painting with acrylic on canvas from Jérôme Mesnager, iconic artist of the French street art, recognized for his famous white silhouette in motion. This work takes this iconic motive that crosses all of its career, symbol of freedom, energy and vitality.
The composition features an acrobatic character with clean shapes, seized in a dynamic, almost suspended movement in space. The white body, characteristic of the visual language of Mesnager, stands off with force on a vibrant background of blue and red, worked in broad circular gestures that reinforce the sensation of rotation and movement.
The contrast between the luminous figure and the intense colors of the bottom creates a particularly expressive visual tension. Acrylic flat, applied with spontaneity, give the canvas a living texture and immediate energy. The whole evokes both physical performance and a form of urban poetry.
Signed and dated lower right, this original 35 x 27 cm (5F) format is a unique work, representative of Jérôme Mesnager's work and its recognizable graphic universe among all. Its format allows easy enhancement, while maintaining a strong visual presence.
The Acrobat Perfectly embodies the artist's approach, mixing simplicity of the motif, power of movement and colored intensity. An authentic work, appreciated for its dynamism and registration in the history of Street Art.
