Joan MIRÓ - Character, Sun Eater
Discover Character, Sun Eater, a lithograph by Joan Miró (1893-1983), a major figure in modern art and surrealism, whose artistic universe is characterized by a immediately recognizable pictorial language, mixing organic forms, mysterious signs, and vibrant colors. In this composition, Joan Miró brings to life a fantastic character resembling a celestial creature. His face, drawn with bold black lines, dominates a geometric structure crossed by energetic lines and inhabited by an imposing red disk evoking the sun. The intense blue, bright red, and touches of yellow and green stand out against the whiteness of the paper, creating a striking contrast. The apparent spontaneity of the drawing, combined with the power of the colored areas, gives this lithograph a particularly expressive visual presence.

An Emblematic Work of Joan Miró's Poetic Universe
The sun, the stars, imaginary characters, and cosmic signs play an essential role in Joan Miró's work. The Catalan artist develops throughout his career a personal vocabulary in which the simplest forms become elements of a dreamlike world, on the border between abstraction and figuration. With Character, Sun Eater, Miró takes us into this unique universe where imagination, humor, and poetry converge. The composition is based on a balance between the freedom of gesture and the rigor of forms. The wide black lines structure the space while the primary colors bring a remarkable intensity to the whole. This lithograph thus illustrates Joan Miró's ability to create, with great economy of means, an expressive and immediately identifiable image.

It will naturally find its place in a contemporary interior, a collection dedicated to modern art, or alongside other works by the great artists of the 20th century.
