VERNET-BONFORT Robert
Robert VERNET-BONFORT (born 1934 in Marseilles) is a French painter and lithographer. He came to the drawing by diswork, following a childhood illness. Reached in everyday life by a profound deafness, he took refuge in the painting which allowed him to express himself in a colorful and expressive language. He began by studying the great ancient and contemporary masters, then chose his own style, preferring to remain faithful to the figurative. Finding himself comfortable in this visual work, he obscured the need to hear. This abstraction of the outside world naturally focused on this art, and led him to a career. But it didn't happen in a day. Over the years, through constant work of eight to ten hours a day, he sought perfectionism, both in the search for composition and in the use of tonalities. Painting is his universe and everything works around.
