Frédéric BOUCHÉ is a French painter, lithographer and cartoonist born in 1943 and died at the age of 52. In the course of his works, he sets up a fantastic universe, where a half-tone eroticism and a dreamlike inspiration are mixed close to Jerôme Bosch. From the age of 27, he established himself as a surrealist painter of the future, with his remarkable participation in the Métamorphoses du Désir show in Montbéliard with Bellmer, Dali, Delvaux, Fini, Man-Ray, Masson, Wunderlich. Until his premature disappearance, he was able to convey a troubled, yet serene, worldview, where fantasy forms intertwine in chaos disciplined by the rigour of drawing and construction.
