Jean-Paul Donadini, the Reinvented Still Life

Born in Troyes in 1951, Jean-Paul Donadini is a French painter and lithographer. After studying at the Beaux-Arts in Troyes and Nancy, he settled permanently in Paris, where he completed his training in 1976. He is known for his highly virtuosic still lifes, which play with trompe-l'œil.

Grace and Virtuosity

Swans, shells, musical instruments, flowers, or animals are staged in elegant compositions with vivid colors, where the fragile beauty of things invites reverie. Donadini has exhibited in France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Singapore, Seoul, and Hong Kong.
