Description
In this original lithography by Yves Ganne, entitled Woman on the Seine, the artist transports us in a dream Paris, both soothed and elegant. On a background of bridges and banks bathed in golden light, a young woman, delivered by hand, seems frozen in a moment of contemplation. The scene, printed on vellum paper in generous format 75 x 55 cm, gives off an infinite sweetness, as suspended in time. The composition balances fairly between the verticality of the trees and the running line of the river, inviting the gaze to walk slowly from one detail to another.
Yves Ganne, faithful to his style of delicacy and a certain modern classicism, captures here a felted atmosphere, almost cinematic. The warm tones of the sky at dusk, the play of reflections in the water, and the enveloping light create a melancholy atmosphere, conducive to dreaming. The feminine figure, with its patterned dress and its look towards the horizon, becomes a timeless symbol of Parisian strolling. Numbered and signed in pencil, this work seduces not only its refinement, but also its serenity. A sensitive evocation of the Seine, which addresses as much to the lover of art as to the nostalgic walker.
