Description
Yves Brayer, Horse in Camargue, Original Signed Drawing from 1966
Discover Horse in Camargue, an original ink drawing created in 1966 by Yves Brayer. This authentic work, signed and dated at the top right, illustrates with remarkable simplicity the characteristic universe of the artist, deeply inspired by the landscapes and traditions of the Camargue.
Executed in ink on paper in a 22 x 21 cm format, this drawing depicts a grazing horse, captured with a few bold and confident strokes. Yves Brayer manages to convey the nobility of the animal and the wild atmosphere of the Camargue lands through a spontaneous and expressive line. The minimalist setting, composed of vegetation, water expanses, and sketched trees, enhances the feeling of space and freedom typical of this iconic region in the south of France.
The Camargue holds a significant place in Yves Brayer's work. Fascinated by its horses, its guardians, and its luminous landscapes, the artist finds a constant source of inspiration there. This original drawing is a testament to his observational talent and extraordinary mastery of line, capable of suggesting movement, texture, and depth with great apparent simplicity.
A unique and certified work, this drawing is a great opportunity for fans of Yves Brayer, enthusiasts of original drawings from the 20th century, as well as collectors sensitive to representations of horses and Camargue landscapes. Through its authenticity, execution date, and emblematic subject, it represents a precious testimony of the artist's graphic work.
