Description
"Shine Around Blue 1118" by Jan Kaláb embodies contemporary geometric aesthetics with a subtle and poetic approach. This screen printing, composed of several concentric circles of vibrant colors, highlights the harmony between shapes and colors, while giving an almost hypnotic impression of depth. The central blue dominates the work, surrounded by circles with shades of pink, yellow and blue, creating a visual effect that immediately captures attention.
The colours are carefully arranged, each layer of the composition seems to light up under the effect of light, hence the title "Shine Around". The glittering background adds an extra texture that plays on perception and intensifies the visual impact of the work. The circle, often used by Kaláb to symbolize unity and infinity, is here enhanced by a modern and dynamic approach, while maintaining aesthetic balance and elegant simplicity. The whole is printed with remarkable precision, highlighting the artist's attention for the quality of the screen printing process.
This work, numbered to only 18 copies, is distinguished by its ability to transcend the simple play of colours and shapes to invite the spectator to a soothing visual experience, while awakening deep reflections on the perception of space and light.
