SUIRE-VERLEY Olivier
Olivier SUIRE-VERLEY was born on 2 October 1951 in La Rochelle. He studied in La Rochelle, then in Tours with Jean Abadie in advertising drawing. In Paris, he worked with Pierre Gandon, Albert Decaris and Caillevært Brun. From a surrealist tendency, its themes are dreamlike, based on escape, travel and the sea. He illustrated texts by Clifford Simac and DAssimov for Louis Pauwels. Then begins a long series of exhibitions in France and abroad. In 1982, a sharp turn: a purification work, a search for essentials led him to the discovery of color. From that time on, the themes changed: nature, still life, portraits, and always the sea, that of the island of Re - he left Paris to settle there, and that is where he now lives and works. Many trips glaze this journey: the United States, for exhibitions, but especially Italy, Rome, Venice, Morocco, Japan, Spain, China ... always looking for new lights.
