Description
"This print, Swan Song, is a commentary on the precarious state of nature's delicate balance. Many species are in decline, ecosystems are on the verge of collapse, and climate scientists stress that time is running out to avoid environmental consequences that would make areas inhabited by millions of people practically uninhabitable. This problem may affect some people more than others, but it is a universal one, since we all have an impact on both the problems and the solutions. Unfortunately, more conscientious habits on the part of citizens are only part of the answer. Without pressure or regulation, companies will continue to put profits ahead of the health of the planet. The press clipping included in the work is part of an article revealing that Exxon-Mobil knew, on the basis of its own internal scientific research, for more than 40 years that burning fossil fuels was warming the planet, yet it concealed the research and publicly denied the impact of fossil fuels on climate change. The Speckletone paper used for this print is made from recycled materials."
