"I have long admired the art of Frida Kahlo, and the more I learn about her over the years, the more I admire her as a pioneer and feminist thinker. During her life, Kahlo was the victim of severe discrimination as a female artist and was often referred to as "the wife of the famous muralist Diego Rivera... who also painted. Since her death, Kahlo's esteem in the art world has increased considerably." , partly because of changing attitudes towards the role of women in society, but I think largely because her paintings are so evocative and memorable I love that Kahlo embraced the philosophy. after a serious injury in a bus accident at the age of 18, that art can help overcome difficulties and that we should transform misfortune into a source of energy and inspiration to grow spiritually and do good things are a frequent subject of her work and she uses roots, flowers and foliage to represent history, unity between humans and the human connection to the earth. I celebrate Kahlo as someone unique in her paintings, her fashion and the way she overcame her challenges and traveled the world."
