Description
This original screenprint by Shepard Fairey entitled Hammer and Fist – Letterpress (2019) revisits one of the most iconic symbols of the artist's visual universe: the clenched fist raising a hammer, an image of determination, resistance and collective power. Around this central figure appear the words "Worldwide Propaganda" as well as the emblematic Obey star, recurring elements of the graphic language Shepard Fairey has developed since the beginnings of his artistic movement.
This rare artist's proof (Artist Proof), numbered "AP", dated and signed in pencil, is printed on heavyweight paper with a superb raised embossing that highlights the exceptional quality of the edition. Its intimate format, combined with the power of its message and the refinement of its execution, makes it a work particularly sought after by enthusiasts of contemporary street art and collectors of the Obey universe.
