TOBIASSE Théo - Lithograph / Carborundum engraving "Rebecca" 105x72cm

In a bold contemporary way embodying a historical and reverential appreciation, Theo Tobiasse portrayed "Bible Mothers". Each one has a strong profile in its own dimension, but they are all linked by constant themes and symbols: love, home, children, wandering and hope. They are mothers of the earth of great stature, powerful in their love and support.

Sarah is the first of the mothers to have joined their husbands on their people's journey through time. She gave birth to Isaac in her old age as a coach, worthy of the woman of laughter. She is truly a mother of Israel who bears witness to sacrifice and sanctification.

The mutual love and worship of husband and wife are captured in Rebecca's person. The house is the center of their relationship. Isaac's love for Rebecca gave him strength and courage in the face of adversity. His wisdom and determination suited his role in history.

Rachael, too, was loved for her beauty and beauty. His sustained devotion to Jacob was a love story that lasted his entire life. Wife, companion and lover. mother Rachael occupies a special place in the history of the Jewish people.

Powerful in the image, magnificent in their people,
Biblical Mothers
is the testimony of Théo Tobiasse to the ideal woman. The stability of the home, in the midst of the endless wanderings of the people, is the creation of the Jewish woman. The companions of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were mothers of mankind with comfort and happiness, strength and support both for their husband and child.
