Description
This original silkscreen print by Shepard Fairey titled Print and Destroy – Letterpress (2015) pays tribute to the world of traditional printing that has greatly influenced the artist's journey. At the center of the composition, an old typographic press surrounded by flames symbolizes both creation, the dissemination of ideas, and the power of the printed image. The slogans "Think & Create" and "Print & Destroy" reflect Shepard Fairey's philosophy that art should provoke reflection and challenge visual habits.
Created in the iconic colors of the Obey universe, this piece is a rare artist's proof (Artist Proof), marked "AP", dated, and signed in pencil. Printed on heavy paper with remarkable embossed relief, it stands out for its quality of execution and its particularly sought-after character. This edition is an emblematic piece for fans of contemporary street art and collectors of Shepard Fairey's work.
