Maurice de VLAMINCK, born in Paris on 4 April 1876 and died in Rueil-la-Gadelière (Eure-et-Loir), 11 October 1958, was a painter of the Fauvisme and Cubism current. He was also a writer: novels, essays and poems, with no less than twenty-six books. Painter of figures, portraits, nudes, landscapes, animated landscapes, urban landscapes, interiors, still lifes, flowers and fruits, gouache painter, watercolourist, engraver, cartoonist, illustrator.
