Ossip ZADKINE (born 4 July 1890 in Vitebsk, in the Russian Empire, now in Belarus) was a French sculptor of Russian origin who was born in France in 1910.

He is considered one of the greatest masters of cubist sculpture. Zadkine's artistic production spans half a century and includes over four hundred sculptures, thousands of drawings, watercolours and gouaches, engravings, book illustrations and tapestry cartons.
